It’s often said that location is everything. When you listen to people talk about how they find a place to stay, you know location really matters. In travel it’s what you want to do or what you want to see that comes to mind first.  The place you rest your head every night of that perfect vacation comes down to location.

Banks Bed and Breakfast is lucky to be surrounded by terrific music venues.  Our  location doesn’t just put you close to some music, it puts you close to lots of choices in music.  Anywhere from a half mile walk down the road to a twenty minute drive we have a plethora of choices for your entertainment. From rhythm and blues, country, swing, jazz, rock, folk, and alternative Banks Bed and Breakfast is close to it all.

GPAC is bringing the Neuse River Big Band’s Swing into Spring which will be performing classics such as Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington on April 4th.  If rhythm and blues are your thing then you may want to check out Jazz and R&B with Comedy coming April 19th. Just across the railroad tracks on Main St. Zin Yoga and Wine and Shady’s bring a variety a more personalized performances for those ready to enjoy a good drink along with good music so check out their websites for a list of upcoming performances. A short drive (2.6 miles) will get you to Lorraine’s Coffee House & Music which books a range of bluegrass and country. Drift a little farther down the road to the Clayton Center (9.5 miles) because The Drifters will be there in April.

Close up guitar images in different colors.An easy drive is all it takes to get to the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek (4.4 miles)  Coastal Credit Union Music Park has such an impressive list coming this summer I’m only going to name a few!  June brings the Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Alanis Morissette. July has New Kids on the Block with Paula Abdul & DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Doobie Brothers. Later comes Train with REO Speedwagon, Chicago with Earth, Wind & Fire, Styx, and Hootie & the Blowfish.

Red Hat Amphitheater (6.5 miles) is a unique setting right in the heart of Raleigh. You can get tickets to see Dustin Lynch, WEEN, Queens of the Stone Age, Bailey Zimmerman or attend the Totally Tubular Festival in July.


Willing to take a twenty minute drive for an arena event space with big names?  The PNC Arena always has a lot going on. Ease into summer with Justin Timberlake on June 12th.  If you think August is hot you’ve never experienced it like this because Jennifer Lopez is coming to PNC on August 24th. Once the weather cools down the music does not because Pink will be live on Nov. 11th.
