Learn MoreBanks Bed and Breakfast
The Banks house has been a landmark in downtown Garner, NC since the 1890s. The home was purchased by Dr. Braxton Banks in 1897 from Dr. Montague, a local Garner pharmacist. Dr. Banks added extensive additions to provide upstairs sleeping rooms for his family and a downstairs waiting room for his medical practice. He was the first physician to practice medicine in the town of Garner. Throughout the years exterior buildings such as the original detached kitchen were connected to the house and additional family space was added. The Banks house has truly been a house that has developed and changed as generations adapted it for their needs. Banks Bed and Breakfast now proudly resides in the former residence as Garner’s premiere location for overnight accommodations, events, and celebrations.
