The Laura Room, located on the second floor of Banks Bed and Breakfast, has a view of historic downtown Garner. Interesting features seen prior to restoration were floorboards and the ceiling containing a square cutout. Today you can still see ceiling boards flipped backwards in a square cutout, which allowed for a stovepipe to run from the downstairs, through this room, and exit the room through the attic above. This room was once occupied by two of the Banks girls, one of whom lived in several different rooms in the house as it evolved with the family until its sale in 2019. This spacious room has a queen-size bed, electric fireplace, seating area, television, closet, and workspace. The en-suite bath has a tub/shower combination and a unique copper sink.
